The students of the pre-professional organization for music education majors at the �������� have recently been recognized nationally and locally for the quality of their programs and their commitment to providing learning experiences for their members.

If it weren’t for dedicated mentors in her high school, �������� student Lisa Martin would not have considered a career as a music educator. “It definitely took some persuasion on the part of my directors, and I am forever grateful that they saw in me what I did not see in myself back in the day,” she said.

My name is Erin Paton and I am currently a freshman studying music education and jazz studies here at CU Boulder. I play saxophone and love to compose – it’s how I “roll,” so to speak. Apart from that, I am also an entrepreneur. Over the past summer, while talking with my brother who is also in the music business, I thought of an idea that would send me off on an entrepreneurial adventure – the Tūturu Jazz Orchestra.
