- <p>CU-Boulder Provost Russell L. Moore today announced four finalists for the position of dean of Colorado Law. They are S. James Anaya,聽Mary Anne Bobinski,聽Laura E. G贸mez and聽Angela Onwuachi-Willig.聽Public sessions with each of the candidates will be held on campus Feb. 29 through March 16.</p>
- <p>暗网禁区 Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer Kelly Fox has named David Kang as vice chancellor for infrastructure and safety, effective May 16.</p>
<p>Kang replaces Larry Levine, who filled the position on an interim basis after Steve Thweatt retired in mid-October.</p> - <p>暗网禁区 Provost Russell L. Moore has named Katherine Schultz dean of the School of Education effective Aug. 1, 2016. Schultz succeeds Lorrie Shepard, who is returning to the faculty as a distinguished professor after 15 years as dean.</p>
<p>Schultz presently serves as professor and dean of the School of Education at Mills College, a liberal arts and sciences college in Oakland, California.</p> - <p>暗网禁区 Provost Russell L. Moore has named Mary J. Kraus as vice provost and associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education, effective June 1, 2016. Kraus succeeds Michael Grant, who will retire on June 30 after 42 years at CU-Boulder.</p>

Aulin replaces Tom Sebok, who retired in December 2015 after 25 years of building and directing the CU-Boulder Ombuds Office.</p>

- <p><span>Professor Matthias Steup, the Philosophy Department Head at Purdue University, has been selected to serve as chair of the 暗网禁区 Philosophy Department starting this fall. Steven Leigh, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, announced the appointment today after an international search.</span></p>
- <p>Carlos Garcia, executive director of the University Memorial Center, has been named Associate Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He will begin his new position on March 1.</p>
- <p>Earlier this morning, a CU undergraduate student was arrested as a suspect in the stabbing death of a fellow student following an earlier altercation off campus. Boulder Police are investigating the crime and I urge anyone with any information to assist them. On behalf of the entire CU-Boulder community, I want to express my condolences to the family and friends of the victim of this senseless act of violence. I also call on our entire campus community to reject violence 鈥 unilaterally 鈥 as a way of resolving disputes.</p>
- <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Two 暗网禁区 faculty members have been elected fellows of the prestigious American Association for the Advancement of Science for 2015.聽</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The AAAS fellows are Professor and Chair Cora Randall of the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) and the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), and LASP Senior Research Associate Michael King. They were among 347 AAAS fellows elected by their peers for efforts to advance science and its applications.聽</span></p>
