- As of Dec. 1, the office of Study Abroad has become Education Abroad. The variety of programs offered has expanded to become so much more than traditional study abroad. Director Mary Dandof says, "We support all international experiences undertaken by students."
- After more than 20 years at the College of Music, Professor of Voice Patrick Mason has announced he will retire from teaching at the end of this academic year.
- On Nov. 22 a preliminary injunction on the implementation of the planned changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act's (FLSA's) salary threshold for exemption from overtime pay was put in place. In response to this hold, the campus has revised its plans for compliance with the original Dec. 1 implementation date.
- °µÍø½ûÇø Provost Russell L. Moore today announced the appointment of Sharon F. Matusik as the interim dean of the Leeds School of Business.
- CU Boulder announced today that Ed von Bleichert has been named Facilities Management sustainability and resiliency program manager, effective Jan 1. Von Bleichert will be responsible for coordinating the many different sustainability functions across facilities management, as well as collaborating with different units across campus.
- With the end of the semester in sight and many beginning to plan for the approaching holidays, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to each of you for your work and dedication to the university over the past year.
- With a renewed focus on the CU Boulder campus and new initiatives aimed at streamlining the path from science to commercialization, the Technology Transfer Office is on pace for a record year and poised to provide even greater support for faculty .
- A recent survey of nearly 11,000 graduates found that 96 percent are very to somewhat satisfied with their CU Boulder education and related opportunities. Over 80 percent said their work was somewhat or strongly related to their education.
- In today's meeting, the University of Colorado Board of Regents approved a new master of science degree and named Bernard Amadei a Distinguished Professor. They also heard updates on the university budget and financial aid, and recognized outgoing board members as Regents Emeritus.
- As we all know, Tuesday, Nov. 8, is election day. For many of you, this might be your first opportunity to take part in an election. How exciting! And as Buffs we pride ourselves in being engaged citizens, and that includes exercising our right to vote.
