- Today Chancellor DiStefano delivered his annual State of the Campus address, announcing key initiatives for college affordability and reflecting on campus progress on our strategic imperatives.
- After an internal search, Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation Terri Fiez appointed Alan Townsend director of INSTAAR. After 17 years at CU Boulder and a stretch at Duke University, Townsend returned as associate vice chancellor for research earlier this year.
- CU Boulder stands firmly with our international community and reminds the campus that the travel restrictions do not affect the immigration status of those who are already present in the U.S.
- With an advisory group report in, assessing our ethical culture and making recommendations about how to foster a principled culture on campus, the next step is the formation of a follow-up committee.
- At its regular meeting, the Board of Regents heard updates on a recently conducted economic impact study of CU, heard a report on preliminary enrollment data and voted to approve the re-launch of the Master of Laws degree program on the Boulder campus.
- Madeline A. Sembrat, previously the director of finance within the School of Medicine at CU Anschutz, joins CU Boulder with over 25 years of budget and finance experience within the CU system.

- Strategic Relations and Communications welcomes Candace Smith, who will oversee efforts to advance CU Boulder's reputation and manage crisis communications.
- After completing his appointment as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S), Steven R. Leigh plans to return to the faculty to pursue further research and increase interactions with students. Serving as the new dean will be James White.
- At its regular meeting, the Board of Regents voted to approve the operating budget for the CU system and all four campuses; three new CU Boulder degrees; seven capital construction projects on the Boulder campus; and a contract extension for football Head Coach Mike MacIntyre.
