  • Women running cross country
    CU's top-ranked women's cross country team is set to compete at the 2016 NCAA Championships tomorrow, Nov. 19, while the men's team has now won two of four varsity races, including the Rocky Mountain Shootout and Pac-12 titles.​

    After dominating last weekend's Pac-12 championships and being unanimously ranked No. 1 in the nation, the women’s cross country coach Mark Wetmore expects to "finish very high in the national championships" in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Nov. 19.
  • Buffs Liufau and Lee compete on the field
    University of Colorado football is bowl eligible at 6-2 and have their sights set on the Pac 12 Championships.  In a Thursday night football showdown, the Buffs take on the UCLA Bruins. Faculty and staff can purchase discounted tickets for this game for only $30 (savings of $25). #TheRiseIsReal and Folsom Field is the place to be this Thursday night at 7 p.m. for the Buffs and the Bruins.

    For the second straight year, Colorado reigned supreme at the Pac-12 Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, sweeping the team titles Friday morning in Tucson, Arizona.
  • CU Buffs soccer team celebrates after victory
    No. 22 Colorado knocked off its second consecutive top-10 opponent, defeating No. 9 UCLA 1-0 on Thursday afternoon at Prentup Field. The Buffs were coming off a 3-2 double-overtime victory at No. 10 California on Sunday. The Buffs will host No. 4 Southern California Sunday at noon.

    The Buff football team has cracked the top 25 in national rankings for the second time this season, which led the campus community to wonder: What other programs and teams are ranked in the top 25? As it turns out, CU Boulder has quite a lot of leadership to be proud of.

    What is Goal Ball? A team sport originally devised to help rehabilitate war veterans, goal ball is played by visually impaired athletes who use blackout masks to ensure equality. Register by Oct. 19 for the Oct. 22 tournament at The Rec.

He sold pistachios for a dime to classmates in elementary school and an individual Starburst for a quarter in middle school, turning a profit on both. "I was in elementary school and they had a vending machine," he said. "I just figured I could sell these individually and make money off the situation."

    As a leader in sustainability practices and fan engagement in athletics, CU Boulder recently was recognized at the inaugural Green Sports Day at the White House. Including remarks by President Obama, the event honored organizations around the country that are taking on new actions to tackle climate change through sports.

    The Colorado Buffaloes will host UCLA at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 for a game to be nationally televised on FS1.
