Welcome to a new semester at CU Boulder! I want to especially welcome those who are new to our campus community. Though times have changed since I was a student (yes, I was once a student), here is my list of top five tips for students based on 45 years of experience as a professor, parent and now chancellor of this beautiful campus.

A new fall semester is officially underway, andÌýthere are plenty ofÌýopportunities to help you get involved andÌýfind your place on campus. This week brings the Be Involved Fair, CUnity Fest, the Rocky Mountain Showdown and much more.

Stop by the annual Be Involved Fair and learn more about the hundreds of CU Boulder organizations and departments, as well as local organizations. It's the best place to find all sorts of involvement opportunities.
