Celebrate Earth Day
From the Chancellor: Happy 50th birthday to the Environmental Center
We were both a lot younger when I started teaching at CU 46 years ago. Now we are both older—and greener. The Environmental Center celebrates its 50th anniversary today as the nation’s first student-led environmental center, founded on the first Earth Day in 1970.
Campus celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with series of events
This year's events include a story gallery walk-through, a stand-up comedy show, an Environmental Center anniversary party and more. Join the campus community for these virtual celebrations.

Environmental Center celebrates 50 years of students in action
The E-Center has helped CU Boulder lead in sustainability among universities nationally throughout the decades. Student ingenuity and passion, supported by staff members, has proven to be a successful model.
Become a CU sustainability champion
CU Employee Services is highlighting an opportunity through Skillsoft to take a sustainability course on ways we can all act in service of a better future—open to students and instructors as well.
Take the Sustainable Buffs Pledge
Being a sustainable Buff is something we can do wherever we are, at any time of the year. This Earth Day, consider joining together with your fellow Buffs to take the Sustainable Buffs Pledge.

CU Athletics have helped lead zero-waste and sustainability efforts among collegiate athletic programs, including construction of four new LEED Platinum-certified buildings and a first-of-its-kind recyclable aluminum cup for gameday use.
