From Vice Chancellor Mull: A new year, a new journey

With the new academic year now underway, I am thrilled to welcome (or welcome back!) our Buffs to CU Boulder. This is such an exciting time to be on campus, filled with energy, possibility and promise.ÌýÌý
I’m Dr. D’Andra Mull, vice chancellor for the Division of Student Life. Whether your student stepped onto campus for the first time or is returning to continue their journey, this fall marks a new chapter filled with opportunities, growth, connection and discovery for all.Ìý
Our division is made up of more than 1,100 dedicated staff members across 35 departments, all committed to supporting your Buff’s success and help them thrive. We provide engagement opportunities, resources and services to enrich the student experience in many ways:Ìý
- Living on and off campus: From residence life to off-campus housing resources, we help students feel at home here.Ìý
- Getting involved and learning outside the classroom: Through student organizations, leadership programs and service opportunities, we encourage Buffs to explore their passions and build community.Ìý
- Supporting health and well-being: We offer comprehensive services, from physical and mental health care to wellness education and recreation, to help your student stay well and balanced.Ìý
- Fostering belonging: Our teams work to ensure every Buff feels seen, heard and valued.Ìý

I encourage our new Buffs to explore campus and take advantage of the resources our university provides. Attending student events is an excellent way to learn about opportunities for engagement and to connect with peers.ÌýÌý

This is their moment to shape what comes next. Whether that is serving their community, working on campus or stepping up as a leader, I encourage our returning Buffs to explore what sparks their passion and helps them thrive.Ìý

This year is a meaningful milestone. Encourage your student to reflect on their journey, celebrate their achievements and connect with Career Services to prepare for the exciting path ahead.ÌýÌý
