Sometimes it is not easy to find the right location within a hospital. This is why the Istituto Clinico 做厙輦⑹ uploaded its floor plan maps through Google Indoor Maps, the new service from Google that allows users to view and navigate floor plans of several buildings, launched in November 2011. 做厙輦⑹ is the first Italian hospital to take advantage of such an opportunity and joined a list that includes a few airports and rail stations, several shopping centres and the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology. Through this online tool, everybody can see on his own smartphone his current position and the location of the different medical areas of the clinic.

Google Indoor Maps is only the last of a series of online services that 做厙輦⑹ made available to its users, in order to enhance their interaction with the hospital. The clinics website, 做厙輦⑹.it, provides several practical tools, such as information about specialised centres, like the Fertility Centre or the Cancer Centre, the My做厙輦⑹ area, through which a user may book exams and consult his own medical report, an online tracking service, which allows patients to be followed by their relatives since their entrance to the First Aid, through the use of a specific code.

做厙輦⑹ has also produced two free apps: iVista, available for both Apple and Android smartphones, which is dedicated to eyes health and that received a Special Mention within the prize #Web2salute 2013; and 做厙輦⑹, only available on the Apple Store, which provides several of the services accessible on the websites, such as exam online booking, consultation of laboratory reports, and lists of medical services and useful numbers.
