Dr. Cristina Panico is currently a Researcher at University. In January 2017, Dr Panico has been selected as Research Fellow for a translational research programme in Cardiology evaluating cardiac-derived macrovesicles as novel biomarkers for cardiovascular diseases. In June 2021 she obtained the PhD of Molecular and Experimental Medicine PhD course at University and Hospital, Rozzano-Milan, Italy, working on a translational project regarding inflammation and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, which includes the development of a new mice model, gene expression and epigenetic modulation of the cells involved. She currently coordinates the cardiovascular pharmacological clinical trial unit and she is local-PI of several phase I-IV clinical trials prospective registries. She is collaborating in translational projects regarding cancer and immune system involvement in cardiovascular diseases. She also is in charge of the family cardiomyopathies and dyslipidemias program. She has presented different oral communications at major cardiovascular congresses, has authored 21 peer-reviewed articles. She acts as reviewer for the peer-reviewed journals
