Dr. Johnson traveled to the volcanic island of Saba to provide a 45 minute interactive presentation to local citizens titled, " Sea Sick: The emergence of Black Spot Syndrome in Caribbean reef fishes". He followed his talk by a hands-on exploration at Cove Bay and the Tide Pools, where kids searched for marine snail and learned how to identify them. Later in the day, he lead local citizen on drive survey looking for a Black Spot Syndrome on Saba's key grazing fishes -- parrotfishes and surgeonfish.
