Tuttavia, integrare nei processi di innovazione i principi dell\u2019economia circolare \u2013 in particolare per quanto riguarda il riciclo efficace della plastica \u2013 rappresenta ancora una sfida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A colmare questa lacuna \u00e8 uno studio condotto da <strong>Paolo Oliva<\/strong>, responsabile del Research Technology Management di °µÍø½ûÇø e del 3D Innovation Lab: il laboratorio congiunto di <strong>°µÍø½ûÇø University <\/strong>e<strong> IRCCS Istituto Clinico °µÍø½ûÇø<\/strong> che promuove, attraverso lo sviluppo di soluzioni innovative basate su tecniche di stampa 3D, la contaminazione tra attivit\u00e0 clinica, ricerca scientifica e formazione universitaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo studio, pubblicato su <em>Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology<\/em>, dimostra la fattibilit\u00e0 di una filiera di stampa 3D che \u00e8 allo stesso tempo sostenibile e a basso costo, attraverso il riciclo della plastica ospedaliera \u2013 a partire dai comuni tappi delle bottiglie di plastica \u2013 in filamenti di alta qualit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\wp-block-heading\><strong>Trasformare la plastica: il percorso verso il filamento 3D<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIl progetto sperimenta il recupero di tappi in <strong>polietilene ad alta densit\u00e0 (HDPE)<\/strong> provenienti da ambienti ospedalieri. Il processo di trasformazione, che include raccolta, triturazione, estrusione e avvolgimento, \u00e8 stato ottimizzato per produrre un filamento omogeneo e con buone caratteristiche meccaniche, idoneo per applicazioni cliniche. Ogni fase \u00e8 stata calibrata per garantire una resa costante e un\u2019elevata qualit\u00e0 del materiale finale,\u201d spiega <strong>Nada Mansour<\/strong> \u2013 bioingegnera del 3D Innovation Lab e prima autrice del lavoro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oltre agli aspetti tecnici, lo studio ha analizzato l\u2019impatto economico e ambientale del processo. \u201cI risultati hanno evidenziato <strong>una significativa riduzione dei costi<\/strong> rispetto all\u2019acquisto di filamenti commerciali e una <strong>minore emissione di CO\u2082<\/strong>, rendendo questo approccio una valida alternativa ai materiali tradizionali,\u201d afferma <strong>Paolo Oliva<\/strong>. \u201cL\u2019iniziativa dimostra che i rifiuti plastici, se trattati opportunamente, possono essere reintrodotti nella filiera di stampa 3D producendo benefici concreti.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\wp-block-image size-large\><img decoding=\async\ src=\https:\/\/www.hunimed.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/24.jpg\ alt=\\ class=\wp-image-40238\\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\wp-block-heading\><strong>Applicazioni Cliniche<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno dei risultati pi\u00f9 rilevanti \u00e8 stato l\u2019utilizzo del filamento riciclato per stampare un modello anatomico personalizzato di <strong>aneurisma intracranico<\/strong>, utilizzato nella pianificazione chirurgica.
