CSCA 5112 - New Version Prof. Hodgkins, Spring 1 session 2026
We are excited to inform you that the current Introduction to Generative AI (CSCA 5112) course is being replaced with a new version that reflects the latest advancements in the field. The last opportunity to sign up for the current version will be November 28, 2025. The new version will be available starting Spring 1, 2026.ÌýÌý
If you are planning on transferring progress from non-credit to the for-credit version - the last session you are able to transfer your current progress is Fall 2!ÌýÌý
Important considerations:
Switching to For-Credit: If you’d like to apply the progress/work you’ve completed in the current non-credit version of the course(s) in this specialization to the for-credit version(s), you must enroll in the for-credit version and complete the for-credit assignments by the Fall 2 deadlines.
Mixing & Matching For-Credit Courses: Please note that if you have completed (or are currently enrolled in) Introduction to Generative AI taught by Prof. Tom Yeh, the specialization can be completed with course 2 and 3 (yet to be developed), which will be taught by Prof. Bobby Hodgkinson.ÌýÌý

January 12: New version of Introduction to Generative AI launch, taught by Prof. Bobby Hodgkinson. Spring 1 for-credit session begins.
March 1: Last day to complete the non-credit version of Introduction to Generative AI, taught by Tom Yeh, and receive a non-credit Coursera completion certificate.Ìý
