This is the last Provost鈥檚 Post of the fall semester. A big thanks to all of you鈥攃olleagues and partners in our academic mission鈥攚ho have worked so hard to serve our students and advance our research, scholarship and creative work. It's been a semester of astounding contradictions: the longest government shutdown in our nation鈥檚 history, punctuated by the the rare and beautiful appearance of the northern lights.

I鈥檓 concluding my Conversations with the Provost for this semester, which will soon have taken me to all of our colleges and schools. Thanks to all those who鈥檝e turned out for these important conversations鈥擨鈥檝e learned a lot and you鈥檝e all made me feel welcome.
